We are Harmony Party UK.
We are a mutual aid and activist federation as well as a political party - and our model of democracy puts you at the heart of it all.
We believe in compassion first, in democracy, and in transparency.
We see the future differently & we don't think building a party along the same old lines will work.
We're unashamedly seeking to change Britain. Read our FAQ here.
We are genuinely grassroots: we're a federation of assemblies. We don't have a leader (or leaders), and we don't have a central decision-making committee either.
You can learn what a federation of assemblies is here - including how our assemblies work (in a nutshell: every assembly works through consensus democracy).
Want to know what we stand for?
We are a volunteer political party and we are funded entirely by small donations.
We believe in suffering-focused ethics. That means we actually want to fix things. And we believe in nothing about you without you.
That means that our election candidates will be selected only by local people, through their local constituency assembly. There can be no parachuting. There can be no electoral alliances except at the local level, picked by you. If the locals in a constituency assembly want to they can even back a candidate that isn't a Harmony Party member - for example, someone from another party, or a solid local socialist independent. It's always your choice.
We also passionately believe in solidarity, which is why we operate the Emergency Payment Fund - £20 to anyone UK-wide who is in need on a first come first serve basis.
You can also get an idea of what we stand for by way of our policies.
Our Policy Book was created by multiple assemblies: the policies were devised by ordinary people collectively, and the book itself was designed collaboratively by our Library Assembly.
