The Disability Activism Society leads Harmony on disability issues.
Our assembly is currently focused on fighting the cuts to disabled benefits (WRITE TO YOUR MP HERE), particularly through providing labour and party infrastructure to other organisations in the background. We are working on developing a Disability Solidarity Fund, but the specifics are yet to be determined.
We have the sole remit for disability policy within Harmony. What we say goes - because nothing about you without you. (Besides, we built this Party!)
Only people who consider themselves disabled may join this assembly as participants.
Ableds are welcome to observe. They may also participate in the Disabled Liberation Allies Assembly - who provide supporting labour to our assembly. (As allies should!)
If you are disabled, in the UK, and want to participate in the Disability Activism Society, fill out the quick form below. No party membership is required for participation.
